We can all quote funny commercials and movies, but we don't charge people for it. This is the kind of thing I consciously boycott, just like I am doing with Dairy Queen and Edge Gel with their rip offs of the Old Spice commercials. Not that I would go to Dairy Queen anyway, and I use whatever bar soap is around as shave gel, like a real man.Jaredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12369883332725142175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4057284762864883377.post-55858431198802016202011-03-29T22:07:12.758-04:002011-03-29T22:07:12.758-04:00Office culture is a venue where employees from dif...Office culture is a venue where employees from different backgrounds come and work together. Since they'll be sharing the same space, it's as if they'll be building a montage of personalities, which is one of the cool things about working in an office environment. People from Miami, FL to Charlotte, NC to NYC can come up with an office cultures that defines them. Tony Hsieh in this case is quite impressive, as he went and collected ideas from his employees.Tanisha Sansonhttp://officesuitesplus.com/services/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4057284762864883377.post-77587639173787258652010-11-03T08:38:13.593-04:002010-11-03T08:38:13.593-04:00the main site is actually: http://wtfHasObamaDoneS...the main site is actually: http://wtfHasObamaDoneSoFar.com/activedotshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09812005430511111308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4057284762864883377.post-61377014616185247632010-10-28T14:05:15.033-04:002010-10-28T14:05:15.033-04:00SEE: Antoine Dodson’s Misleading Pitch for iPhone/...SEE: Antoine Dodson’s Misleading Pitch for iPhone/Android Sex Offender Tracking App - http://t.co/j07n63hLetsgetrealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15437194088903397212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4057284762864883377.post-25964264520419239032009-08-06T09:01:50.260-04:002009-08-06T09:01:50.260-04:00Yes, this IS very interesting. Nothing worse than seeing good creative work get ripped off.

However, I don't believe using Google as a specific example of plagerism or bad brand building practice is an effective exercise.

As you pointed, the purpose of that ad was to get you to click on it. To Google, they're only interested in matching your profile with keywords/history and increasing CPV and CPI. But, I'm talking about creative integrity here, not click thru or conversion rates.

And if we use "well, it works doesn't it" thinking as our creative compass, we're in trouble. Can the client or agency afford for everyone to be included in the project at all times? Perhaps there is a compromise...where the client sees value in having a "team" approach and where the agency makes efforts to be smart about when to pull everyone together and when to work separately.Noel McKenziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11932405092281006293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4057284762864883377.post-14108850357821126322009-05-08T12:49:00.000-04:002009-05-08T12:49:00.000-04:00yah, man, hit me up on facebook. would love to ca...yah, man, hit me up on facebook. would love to catch up with you!jeffwongdesignhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06175531846244034566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4057284762864883377.post-36892367766816720912009-05-07T15:33:00.000-04:002009-05-07T15:33:00.000-04:00Hey - Passion Pit is playing in Richmond in June. ...Hey - Passion Pit is playing in Richmond in June.
